Just About Music is home to JAM Studio, the recording studio for residents of Just About Music residence hall as well as out-of-house members.
In addition to the microphones, amplifiers, instruments, and cables available in the P-Space storage room, the studio comes equipped with 1 Mackie Onyx 1620 Mixer, 2 Mackie MR 5 monitors, an 8-channel recording snake,as well as an iMac computer with Logic Pro, Garageband, and iMovie, among other digital media editing software. The mixer also allows for the recording of takes and sessions performed in the P-Space and the adjacent drum room.
Residents and out-of-house members are free to use all equipment in the P-space storage room as well as their own equipment, as long as the studio is left how it was found. Click here for a more detailed inventory of the available equipment and instruments.

To access the studio and the studio computer, you will need a passcode.
Even if you’re not a musician you can still get involved with JAM Records. If you have an interest in learning how to record sessions and performances, as well as mix, master, and/or use any of the equipment available in JAM apply to become a P-Space manager today! The application form is located HERE.
You can also become involved with JAM Records through active membership with MUSICOM, a student organization that is focused on the facilitation of music-related programs as well as management of JAM’s performance space. Anybody is free to attend MUSICOM meetings, which are held on a weekly basis in the JAM Performance space unless otherwise indicated.
